What if the most powerful leadership tool is simply making space?
If I had to distil my company's mission into its core purpose, I’d say it’s about creating space.
Space to grow, to think, to be challenged, and ultimately, to connect with more intention. Everything we do sits on three pillars: leadership advisory, workshops, and partnerships.
But what holds them together is a deep belief that relationships, when built well, can shape the direction of a career or business far more than any marketing strategy or polished pitch ever could.
Creating space for deeper growth
Business mentoring is often where the deeper work begins. Through The L Factor Ltd, I work mostly with senior leaders.
People in transition, stepping into new roles or stepping back to rethink what’s next. They don’t come to me looking for shortcuts. They come with questions. Big ones.
What does meaningful impact look like at this stage of my career?
How do I want to show up?
My role is to hold a safe space for that exploration. To listen carefully. And to ask the kind of questions that get beneath the surface noise. Not to give answers, but to help them reconnect with what makes them tick.
Our workshops extend that space.
These aren’t sessions built around templates or off-the-shelf strategies. They’re deliberately designed. A place where leaders can step away from the urgency of daily decisions and reflect with others who are doing the same.
Sometimes we talk about networks, sometimes about values, sometimes about legacy. Always with a focus on clarity. Because once someone can articulate what they really want, the path tends to open up. Not always quickly, but more honestly.
And then there are the events. These have been curated after years of observations, I’ve seen what happens when people walk into a room out of habit, or obligation, and walk out unchanged. Bored. On their phones.
That’s not a return of your invested time and money. Our events are curated to spark what I call “intentional serendipity.”
That moment where a conversation you didn’t plan for becomes the most important one of the week. It doesn’t happen by accident. It happens because the space has been set up for it.
With the right people, the right tone, and just enough structure to feel safe without being scripted.
Building connections that lead to real change
What underpins all of this is the idea that connection isn’t a numbers game. It’s not about visibility for the sake of being seen.
It’s about the kind of professional relationships that are built on trust, not transaction.
Over the years, I’ve realised that networking: real networking, that is. Takes courage. Not the loud kind. The quiet kind.
The kind that’s willing to show up, ask better questions, and be open to what might unfold. That’s what The L Factor holds space for. Not performance, but presence.
Of course, I don’t do this alone. The L Factor is a growing collective of people who believe in this work. We don’t scale for the sake of scale. We go deep. We partner with those who are ready to think differently about how they lead and how they connect.
So if you ask me what we do. The honest answer is this: we help people take connection seriously. Not as a task. But as a tool for growth, reflection, and lasting change.
Because in the right space, with the right question, one conversation really can change everything.
